Responsible Business Alliance Kicks Off Major Real-World Pilot of UNTP Extension

The RBA has launched a 20+ organisation pilot of the Responsible Business Transparency Protocol (RBTP), an industry-specific extension of the UN Transparency Protocol (UNTP). The pilot is focused on copper, cobalt, lithium and tantalum, critical minerals that underpin modern electronics from EV batteries to smartphones.

With $8 trillion in combined supply chain value behind its membership, the actions of the RBA and its members have the potential to drive real change.

Pyx Global is proud to be the RBA’s UNTP acceleration partner.

G7 backs UNTP-aligned standards for Critical Minerals

The UN Transparency Protocol just got a major vote of confidence.

In a newly released roadmap, G7 nations committed to advancing interoperable digital credentials and product passports for critical minerals explicitly aligned with the UNTP.

That’s a geopolitical signal that verifiable data, shared through open standards, is becoming table stakes for critical minerals trade.

Wishing DPPs would work better across systems & borders? Get onto the UNTP.

Don’t let interoperability challenges stall your Digital Product Passport (DPP) progress. On the Pyx blog, we explain how UNTP-compliant DPPs give suppliers and DPP platform providers a way to issue verifiable, interoperable, flexible credentials without losing control of their data.

Blueberries, sunscreen, and the case for verifiable data

Recent headlines in Australia have shown why trust in supply chain claims matter, from pesticide use on berry farms to false SPF ratings in sunscreen.

Hat tip to John Phillips of Sezoo, who recently connected these real-world issues to the potential of the UN Transparency Protocol (UNTP), designed to enable anyone (buyers, auditors, even consumers) to verify upstream claims, across systems, without needing a single platform.
