Global Battery Alliance Registers UNTP Extension

The Global Battery Alliance (GBA) is the latest major industry group to register a UNTP extension, signalling its intent to align the Battery Passport initiative with the open-source UN Transparency Protocol.

The International Copper Association just registered a UNTP extension and Implementation Statement too. You’ll find that here: ICATP

🎉 UN Recommendation 49 Approved!

It’s official! UN/CEFACT Recommendation 49: Transparency at Scale — Fostering Sustainable Value Chains has been approved at the 31st Plenary in Geneva.

This establishes the policy framework for verifiable, inclusive, and interoperable sustainability data. It’s also a milestone for the UN Transparency Protocol (UNTP), already moving from concept to implementation across sectors from critical minerals to agriculture and the built environment.
